Sports and Injury Therapist
Ella is the Sports and Injury Therapist at the Thornbury Clinic. Throughout her career she has worked in both private practise and semi-professional sport, developing the experience and knowledge required to provide the most effective treatment to her clients.
She has a thorough understanding of chronic and acute sporting injuries and specialises in finding the root cause of your problems, rather than just treating the symptoms. Ella aims to tailor her treatment plans to you and what you wish to achieve, whether that is to decrease pain, relieve tension, prevent reinjury, enhance sporting performance, improve range of movement or simply be able to work and perform daily tasks pain free.
Previous to her role at The Thornbury Clinic Ella worked as the lead therapist at Lydney Town FC providing pitch side first aid treatment and rehabilitation. During her career she has had the opportunity to gain valuable experience within private practices working with multidisciplinary teams consisting of physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths. Working with a variety of professionals has allowed her to gain an insight into multiple treatment modalities to continually develop her knowledge and skills. Ella graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy and is a fully insured member of The Society of Sports Therapists, she follows 6 key areas of competency in her practise:• Prevention • Recognition • Evaluation • Treatment • Rehabilitation • Education
In her spare time, Ella loves to spend quality time with friends and family and enjoys keeping fit and active. Ella considers herself to be a very friendly, honest and reliable individual and is always keen to meet new people, learn new skills to continually improve her practice in order to provide the best treatment to all of her clients.
