Jack Embleton

Senior Physiotherapist

Jack is a Senior Physiotherapist working across all of our clinic sites. He treats a wide range of muscle and joint problems, from back and neck pain to everyday aches and injuries, helping people of all ages get out of pain, move more comfortably and return to the things that are important to them.

Jack has experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds and previously worked within the NHS, where he developed specialist experience as a Hand Therapist. Before qualifying as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University London, he also worked in the health and fitness industry, giving him a broad understanding of movement, exercise and rehabilitation.

Jack’s approach to physiotherapy is very much tailored to the individual. He combines hands-on treatment with practical advice and rehabilitation, always taking into account each patient’s goals, lifestyle and preferences. For some patients that might mean getting back to running or the gym; for others it could simply mean being able to walk comfortably, work without pain, play with the grandchildren or get through the day without worrying about their back.

He is currently working towards his Strength and Conditioning coaching qualification, which adds another dimension to his rehabilitation skills and allows him to adapt exercise to suit everyone from complete beginners to experienced athletes. His focus is always on finding an approach that feels achievable and appropriate for the person in front of him.

Jack recently returned to the UK after spending time working as a Physiotherapist in New Zealand, where he treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems as well as sporting injuries including those related to mountain biking, skiing and running. Unsurprisingly, he also made the most of New Zealand’s outdoor lifestyle himself!

Outside the clinic, Jack describes himself as a “chronic beginner” and loves trying new things. He runs, trains regularly in the gym and enjoys climbing, mountain biking and, more recently, surfing – with scuba diving next on the list. A self-confessed science nerd, he also loves learning about nutrition, health and human performance.

Whether you’re struggling with back or neck pain, recovering from an injury, dealing with a problem that just won’t settle or wanting to get back to a favourite activity, Jack will work with you to understand what’s going on, develop a clear treatment plan and help you get back to feeling and moving your best.

Meet Jack at our Thornbury and Yate clinics.
