What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue of the body. Soft tissue includes all the connective tissue that has not hardened into bone and cartilage; it includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (the connective tissues that lines and surrounds the other soft tissues). Sports massage is designed to reduce the tension and imbalances that are caused from exercise and sport.
